Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of DeepMind, joins the Microsoft team.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced a partnership with Mustafa Suleyman, one of the founders of DeepMind, a Google company. Suleyman joined the Microsoft team, which seeks to strengthen its focus on artificial intelligence. He also joins Karen Simonyan, co-founder and chief scientist of Inflection. Through this affiliation, Microsoft establishes a new organization called Microsoft AI.
Suleyman takes over as executive vice president and CEO of Microsoft AI, which is focused on developing Copilot, an artificial intelligence tool. The DeepMind co-founder will report directly to Satya Nadella, while Simonyan joins as chief scientist under Suleyman. Several members of the Inflection team have subsequently joined.
According to Microsoft's CEO, the partnership with Open AI will continue its advancements in artificial intelligence, and the company will provide the fundamental models for Microsoft to develop products based on them. According to Nadella, these partnerships will give them the opportunity to develop a technology previously thought impossible.
