WhatsApp Statuses Are About to Change with New Update

WhatsApp is revamping its platform with an update that eliminates statuses as we knew them. Since its launch in 2017, statuses allowed users to share messages, photos, and videos that disappeared after 24 hours. But with this new version, the feature is integrated directly into chats, offering a more fluid and less separate experience.

What exactly changes?

Statuses will no longer be a separate section in WhatsApp. Now, you'll be able to share ephemeral content directly within conversations, making temporary posts more natural and relatable. While this change may come as a surprise to some, it doesn't mean statuses will disappear completely: they'll still exist, just in a different form.
